The nearest train station is at Ardgay and there is a train leaving Inverness at 1038 and calls at Beauly, Muir of Ord, Conon Bridge, Dingwall, Alness, Invergordon, Fearn, Tain and Ardgay.  We have a FREE BUS to meet the 1204 train from Inverness to transport people to the Games. The bus will shuttle backwards and forwards throughout the day and will return people back to the station for trains home. The train back to stations to Inverness leaves Ardgay at 1852.

There is a main bus service running between Tain and Lairg.  The bus stop is on the Main Street in Tain opposite the old Post Office.  Buses leave Tain at 1011 or 1311 and will drop you directly outside the games field if you ask the driver (tell him it is outside Bonar Bridge on Balblair Straight).   The Bus returning to Tain is at 1712 and you can flag this down from the road at Games field.

Coming from Lairg the bus leaves from the post office at 1100 and 1400.  Again the driver will drop you outside the games field if asked.

There will be a free shuttle bus operating between Ardgay station, Bonar Bridge Post Office and Invershin Hall throughout the day. There will be notices with details of a mobile phone number to call if you are wanting the bus to pick you up.  The bus will also return people to the pick up points after the games.

From Inverness take the A9 north across the Kessock Bridge. Keep going straight on until you reach the Tore roundabout. Go straight across (A9 north).  Follow the road and cross the Cromarty bridge. Bear right and stay on A9 for a few miles until you come to a left turn, signposted Skiach services, Bonar Bridge and Lairg.  Turn left here and follow the road straight for about 18 miles (amazing scenery) across the Struie hill. You will come to a T junction and you need to bear left. Follow the road straight through Ardgay and across the bridge into Bonar Bridge.  Turn immediately left over the bridge and follow the road for a couple of miles until you see the games field on the left.
